Moreover, the living room and the backyard is a big hangout spot to meet new crowds and build friendships, with for me as a solo traveler is one of the most important things. I enjoyed the stay so much that I extended twice. Thank you so much!

We liked everything really. It was spacious, comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well equipped. It’s not really a backpackers hostel, more a communal self catering.

YHA Apollo Bay Eco Hostel is a 2-minute walk from restaurants and cafes in Apollo Bay town centre. It is a 45-minute drive to Cape Otway Lighthouse and a 90-minute drive to the Twelve Apostles. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. I stayed here on NYE as I prepared to hike the GOW the next day. The hostel is close enough to the main strip to easily walk everywhere but far enough away that everything was quiet when I went to bed at 10pm. Bed was very comfortable and shared bathroom was clean and spacious. I didn't use the kitchen or living space but I noticed how exceptional they were.
