Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Cool garden, sense of privacy as the bunk beds were sectioned off with a room divider (although we got lucky and had the whole place to ourselves). The day we were there, there was just one restaurant open nearby but there's a kitchen in the hostel (be careful walking to the local restaurant at night, as walking along the dark road with cars driving past at speed is dangerous- maybe bring a torch or phone so you're visible)

Spotlessly clean, friendly hostel with private rooms w / bathroom as well as shared dorms. Has a basic kitchen and a 24h reception. Easy to park right outside and about a ten min walk into the town centre. Totally recommended.

The best hostel where I've rested during my Camino. The size of the bed is huge so you can have a very comfy sleep. The rooms are shared with no more than 8 people and they all face on a nice terrace. Everything is modern and tidy. The position is amazing: the hostel is set just next to the church that dominate the city, one of the best panoramic views of the Camino.

Modern, clean and enough fresh air in the rooms during the night in an 8-person dormitory. Great albergue experience! The view on the hill is breathtaking! Be aware that the supermarkets are downhill in the city and that the „elevador“ up the hill has operating hours (alternatively, you can use the stairs).

I strongly recommend this hostel. One of the best in Portugal. With a female dorm with a private washroom and real beds (not bunks) it has a cozy, homey feeling. The Villa has a huge garden and outdoors chairs, a large living room with tv and a great kitchen too. It was quiet for sleeping yet very close to train, restaurants and a supermkt. The owner was particularly kind, and a superb host, in fact the very best I have met in this country. I ended up extending my stay.

Hotel is in a great location. Stayed here while walking the Camino and really enjoyed a 'comfort' night. We could not make breakfast as we were leaving early but they made a packed lunch. Great customer service.

It is a youth hostel build with individual rooms. Good architecture. Spacious place. Breakfast is a basic breakfast like in any other youth hostel. But OK. The place is not expensive. Great location in a nice cozy town.
