We had a great stay. Thank you very much for the thorough introduction to Rita Vicentina. We followed your great advice on following the beach, and it was absolutely stunning. Thank you!

The hostess was really sweet and nice even though we showed up at almost 11pm. She only speaks Portuguese but communication was OK nevertheless. The room itself is big enough and the private bathroom spacious enough. The town is small and quiet and allows for a good night sleep. We also had a nice breakfast at the small bar next door!

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

We had a warm welcome by the family who runs the hostel. Everything was very clean, the bedroom included its own bathroom and the interior design was much better compared to other places we'd been. There is a free to use kitchen with tables in the kitchen and the adjacent backyard. There was even free coffee and snacks! We really enjoyed our time at Pé na Areia and would definitely stay there again!

Modern built, spacious hostel. Awesome breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Awesome sea view. Very affordable and compared to other hostels along fisherman's trail quite cheap for what you get.

The breakfast was the best I've ever had in a hostel. Wow. The communal space is also a really nice place to hang out. We actually chose to stay in vs head to a restaurant. Friendly helpful staff and good vibes.

Great location - the sea and the lighthouse view, beaches just a few steps away. The hostel and rooms were clean. Stayed in a shared room. However, the staff tries to keep a shared room for you (so you do not have to share) when possible, which was our case. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. I would definitely recommend this place for stay.

I really think this one if the best hostels I've ever been. The location is just perfect, super close to the beach and priviledged view to amazing sunsets. The whole concept of active resting is really cool, staff is amazing as well as the food and olace itself is beautiful. Even though I was in a 8 bunk bed room, I felt comfortable and had enough space. Nice music too!
