Malta
was greeted upon arrival by Ana the owner. We parked our car on the private premises with no parking issues. Our room was ground floor and not a large but room had the necessary things. There is a communal kitchen where you can make tea/coffee. Breakfast was served in the morning consisting of bread, cakes, jams, fresh fruits yoghurt, cereal. Ana was a delight to talk to and we discussed many things amongst which travelling. She also has a lovely friendly dog. I recommend staying at Pensao Destino which is quite a curiosity since it was an ex. train station but today is cosily converted into a B&B.

The hotel was decorated in older and antique style furniture so it was like staying in a period house. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and right on the square so we could explore the town. Breakfast was delicious with an amazing array of fresh fruits, local meats and cheeses and homemade breads and pastries. The staff were all lovely and super helpful. we ended up parking our motorcycles right out the front of the hotel and felt very happy leaving them there in the quiet and safe town.

The hostel is very functional, well equipped and the staff very friendly and supportive. The room was comfortable and very clean. Location is not absolutely central but it's just a short walk from the main square, bus stop and some of the best restaurants in town. The historic building, decorated in a minimalistic yet functional style, is in a calm area so it's great to just relax. The room was well cleaned. Wonderful breakfast.
