It was the cleanest hostel/ hotel I have ever stayed in. Spotless and modern, excellent kitchen fully equipped. The shower and toilets were separate, which makes a huge difference, also spotlessly clean. Yulya and Sam were outstanding and quickly became "family"

The staff was AMAZING, if you have the chance to talk to Ruth from Bristol, you will be utterly delighted! I was surprised that even as a hostel they left you nice robes and had house keeping tidy up daily. Bearing in mind that it has no real competition, it is still nevertheless a very good hostel. Breakfast pancakes are great, staff are friendly, it is fairly sociable. The rooms are somewhat small, but the kitchen/social area is spacious enough, and in any case if you come to Svalbard for the bedroom then there's really little point.DarrynSolo traveler
