The "hotel" is in a remodeled 18th century building, updated nicely and with all modern conveniences. There's hardly a better example of a medieval/Renaissance town than Assissi, and the Camere Colocci is off a narrow, medieval street, quiet and pleasant. Excellent views out the windows, good sense of security and safety, and close to the plaza where everything else is--shops, restaurants, and sights from the Roman period onward.

Great location, right in the heart of Santa Maria degli Angeli, surrounded by well kept gardens, within waking distance to everything, including the train station. The room and amenities were adequate, while the price was absolutely fair for what you get.

A beautiful, historic, family run hotel. Breakfast had many options of Italian sweets. Great location to the Basilica and the main square. Would recommend staying here when going to Assisi! Also recommend a taxi from the train station. Lots of hills in Assisi!

Easy walk to Maria dAngeli church and further up train/ bus station through a little subway and McDonald's right across. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Found fruit stall near roundabout too. I'm a solo traveller, streets are well lit. The best part of my stay is the little porch where I can safely have a smoke on a comfy chair surrounded by plants
