What an awesome atmosphere the team at Mad Monkey has created. Exceptional views of the beach while poolside. Breath taking sunsets and quick and easy access to local eateries. But what really makes the stay is the team at Mad Monkey. Dan is an absolute wonderful human who took the utmost care of us during our stay. B and Billy are also fantastic hosts. They team really helps amplify the fun during your stay. Other guests were great and we have new friends for life!

Front office team, top notch to abang Didik who helped me at the first day I arrived, so kind and he was amazing. This hostel budget but has a value of money, free breakfast, cozy, coffee in morning time and unique swimming pool for relax after day trip in Gili Trawangan, located about 7 minutes by bike and 15 minutes by walk from harbour. Easy access to go anywhere and absolutely would be back, also they well-arranged of your quiries related Dive and snorkeling trip here. Good job abang Didik!

Doesn't look like a hostel but more like a fancy hotel with cute bangalow! Staff makes you feel like home. Such a nice people. Wahyu and Caitlyn are the best! Miss you guys! 10/10

This hostel is a great hostel to socialize and meet people while calm enough to do your own thing if you don't think like that. It's chill during the day with music and tour options, and there's something going on every night but everyone leaves to the club at 10pm so you can sleep early if you want. The social events are awesome and everyone goes to the bar together afterwards, I had a blast and met lovely people. The staff is truly the best part of this hostel! Ilan the manager is super fun and gave plenty of good tips on where to go on the island, the volunteers do their job well and make sure to make everyone feels welcome and the reception/bar staff is soooo nice, special mention to Iwan who was so nice and smiling all the time, and gave us great tips on the island and places to eat. Him and his colleagues remembered our name from the moment we checked in and it was so nice to feel like they know who you are. The dinner is basic but good to have as it also allows you to socialize during it. The drinks are cheap and they have a shot o'clock every hour in the evening where it's only 25K per shot. The room in itself was small but good enough since you're only sleeping there, the bed was big and comfortable and the AC worked great. The crowd is more on the younger side though so don't expect to meet many 30-ish yo people like us 😉 Thanks Iwan, Ilan and staff, we had a blast and hope to come back some day ❤️ Camille & Nick

Planned to stay only for 2 nights and ending up there over 10. Probably THE best hostel on Gili T with the greatest staff. They offer every day activities like snorkeling, sunset boat or beer pong tournaments and on top every night you can sign up for free dinner at the hostel and after they do drinking games and you can leave together to Tequila Sunrise bar. In this hostel you will never be alone and it’s easy to make friends around the world.
