Everything was excellent. The vegetarian meals the kitchen made me were so satisfying and tasty for such a reasonable price. I highly recommend Chez Marie for hostels or gîtes traveling to a terrific setting with beautiful and dramatic mountain stream walks and wading just a kilometer to the east.

I had originally booked a tour to the "3 Marvels" (Les 3 Merveilles) with Porto Aventure (which is affiliated with the hotel), but they weren't operating that day so the receptionist put me on a boat with a different company at no extra cost to me. It was off-season (late April), and I got a free upgrade to a much bigger room. In the upgraded room, there was a nice view of the tower and the sea, and the toilet was spacious.BernardSolo traveler
