YOU’LL love it! My family of 6 wished we could’ve stayed for longer. The property itself is quirky, cool, and clean! It is eclectic in its decoration and you will feel completely comfortable and at home! Everything has been thought out to give you privacy or allow for everyone to get together around the campfire, bar, or kitchen. The communal kitchen has everything to prepare a meal, clean up, and serve your meal. Rupert is a great host and will help you with everything before, during, and after your stay. We enjoyed talking and getting to know him. He is what makes the place so unique and fun! You’ll have a clean room that is built well from local Construction materials with well thought-out layout. We had a family room and a “glamping” tent. He provides clean en suites, fresh water, mosquito nets and even hammocks inside with a seating area. You really will enjoy your time here! The canoeing is year-round and such a fun activity for adults and kids alike. The PERFECT place to stay in Nata! I had such a hard time deciding where to stay for our Nata stop and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this camp!

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

As pensioners we were a little apprehensive at having booked at a Backpackers but it did not take long for us to feel comfortable. Rupert the manager/owner was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the communal dining as it brought everybody together from various parts of the world. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering.

Very friendly. I thought it was great, quiet and relaxing. People just need to be reminded that it is a backpackers camp.

The atmosphere. Rupert is a relax person who cares about his guest. It is a backpacker’s campsite so don’t expect to much luxury. The place looks very nice. Lots of original features and things. Of course it depends on the guests who are there at the moment but we enjoyed the conversation with them. Stay for diner, Rupert and his helpers can prepare a decent dinner for you. Need something to drink, take it yourself and pay at the end. That’s the way it goes here. Swimming pool in progress.

Lovely people running the place. Always welcoming and glad to help with any questions. The tour to the nata bird sanctuary and salt pans was organised through the hostel with a decent price. The toilets were clean and tidy. Hot shower available. The common area near the river is excellent. 33pula taxi to the city centre or choppies.

It was the first time for me to stay at a backpackers. We met very interesting travelers and enjoyed the conversations around the large communal dining table. I enjoyed resting in the hangmat. There was a normal bed as well. The food Rupert and Luvet made was delicious. The shower water was very warm (gas geyser). I will stay there again.

It's a backpackers, but we booked a tent that was had its own little outdoor toilet and shower. Very rustic and very friendly. Added to our adventure through Botswana. The owner hosted us at the bar and we met a young family and had a great chat over drinks. Thank you Rupert (I hope I remember the right name?)

The place was set out great for campers or young people, unfortunately we arrived early in the day and decided to head for Francistown to stay the night as we were on a schedule , but if we had more time would have stayed. The young couple that were looking after the backpackers for a friend were very friendly and made us welcome
