Where to start with this incredible place?? I arrived pretty anxious at the start of a big backpacking trip, and immediately felt so at home here. I ended up staying for 2.5 weeks and met incredible people from all corners of the world. Here are some of the reasons I liked it so much: - THE STAFF: The multilingual owner & volunteers are so friendly and helpful and are always up for a chat. - OUTDOOR SPACE. There is so much outdoor space. The breakfast area is huge and is great to work from while looking out onto an incredible view of the mountains. There's also a cute, smaller area with a hammock and a larger area downstairs. It's very easy to find a spot to chill, do some yoga or have some alone time. - BREAKFAST: Bread, plantain, exotic fruit, good tea selection, and they even make cous cous or tapioca on request and can cater to vegan diets. - EXCURSIONS: The hostel offers hikes and trips and organises everything for you. For multi-day camping trips, they even provide sleeping bags and tents. - WiFi: Pretty good WiFi. Not incredible, but I was able to do my work in the nice outdoor space. I only had one video call and it didn't work well outside, but was fine in my room. - THE ROOMS: Super cute rooms. Comfy bed and pillow, storage lockers, plug sockets by bed, fan, okay en-suite bathroom. Cleaned daily. - LOCATION: Just a five minute walk to get to the town centre. - KITCHEN: Well-equipped kitchen with gas hobs and an oven. - STORAGE: If you go on a multi-day trip, you can pack up your things and keep them in secure storage to avoid paying for nights you aren't there. In summary, STAY AT THIS HOSTEL. You won't regret it.

Lovely little Hostel with a very family & friends flair. Good price with a free breakfast (fruits bread butter coffee) and Ale is always helpful and up for a little chat, the newest Fofoca and she can give a lot of tips what to do around Lençóis. Extra plus: The best pans I’ve seen so far in a hostel, not scratched at all <3

I spend 4 days around new years in Hi Hostel. Everything was great : the rooms, the bathroom, the delicious breakfast and especially all the nice Brazilian people I met there. Thank you Juan for all the advices you gave me and long live Hi Hostel Chapada.

The owner came unexpectedly to pick me up when I arrived with the bus, which was very nice since it was raining a lot. The hostel is clean and comfortable with all the facilities. Nice balcony next to the river.

great location near the centre and with close access to trails including meio and cachoeira do sessego. The host Jah was very kind and helpful, he allowed us to leave our bags before check-in and after check-out while we waited for our travel.
