Confortable mattress and pillow, nice sheets, beautiful breakfast lounge with clear view of the city and a center location close to everything. Annette is an amazingly warm hostess as well.

Situated within 2 km of Ramirez and 2.1 km of Pocitos Beach, Artistes du Monde features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Montevideo. I absolutely loved the location, I liked that it wasn't in the middle of the busier part of Montevideo but had everything you needed. My room was neat, featuring a comfortable bed and a delightful balcony. I shared a well-kept kitchen, common area, and bathroom with just two other guests, ensuring a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The immediate surroundings were fantastic, with two charming bars just 20 meters away on either side of the street. Don't worry about noise – it won't disrupt your sleep. Additionally, a large supermarket is conveniently located within less than 100 meters, making it easy to grab essentials. For dining options, the area offers a variety of choices, including Armenian cuisine. For an authentic Uruguayan experience I would recommend "Parrillada El Alemán," (15 min walk) a restaurant featured in Anthony Bourdain's food documentary "Parts Unknown" during his visit to Uruguay. Try the sweet "morcilla"!. Not too far away but easily reachable by bus is "Escaramuza," a beautiful bookstore and cafe. Or grab one of the best "chevito" I had at "El Tinkal" with a view of the ramblas. Moreover, the beach is just a short 15-minute walk away from the house, providing a perfect escape to the sun and sea. The entire house is not only clean but also well-maintained, and the host, Veronica, was incredibly helpful, making me feel truly welcome. With bus stops just a few minutes away, it's convenient to explore Ciudad Vieja and beyond. Overall, my stay was enriched by the delightful combination of a great location, comfortable amenities, and the warm hospitality of Veronica. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Uruguay.

Edificio Quijano provides accommodation located 500 metres from the centre of Montevideo and features a terrace and a shared lounge. This place was wonderful. The owners are so kind and went out of their way to get it ready for us to check in early. They gave us tons of advice and answered all of our many questions. The room is huge and has 2 balconies and a great shower. You have access to a well stocked kitchen and laundry. The WiFi worked well and everything was very clean. It is in a very cool old building (with a cool elevator) one block from the Main Street and less than 15 minutes walking to the old town. There is a paid parking garage across the street ($13 per 24 hours) or foreigners can park for free on the street in front of the house. I would highly recommend staying here!

Boasting a garden and views of garden, El Patio de la Morocha is a homestay set in a historic building in Montevideo, 1.7 km from Ramirez. Such a wonderful stay at this guest house, a gorgeous unique place to stay where we felt right at home. Hosts were so welcoming and we felt really relaxed using all of the facilities. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer!

We chose the accommodation because it was in the area Pocitos and we knew from our last visit that it was one of the best areas in Montevideo We opted for breakfast and also dinner with an extra, but more than reasonable cost. The food was adapted to our needs and wishes, very healthy, with fresh vegetables and fruits. Especially the authentic Asado which Mariella made with and for us in one of the last evenings was an unique, unforgetable experience. We were also offered a transfer service to Punta del Este, paying a really affordable price. We did take it and enjoyed her detailed information about the sightseeings on the route and additionally a nice picnic on the top of the Punta Ballena with an amazing view over the ocean. The Internet reapectively WIFI is fast and reliable and allowed me to perform my work remotely whithout any problems. The room covered our basic needs as turists, the bedding and towels were really clean and they were changed every day... We had also the possibility to wash our personal clothes and laundry at no costs. The garden is small but sunny and peaceful. Mariela is a warm and trustworthy person, we enjoyed every day of our stay and at the end we felt like we left back a family member. Based on our experience I would recommend this accommodation.
