We wanted quite and romantic place, out of the city place but close enough to drive by car. This place is located 20-25 minutes from the Sabrosa/Pinhao. The stay was amazing! The room was spacious enough and we had a big window facing the valley. The sunset and the morning views are incredible there. And because of the isolated location it so quite there. Except the room there is also a place outside in the property to sit and enjoy the wine and the views. The host gave us a taste of their own wine and port and we also asked for the breakfast (additional price). Wow, you definitely must have it! Aurora made us a wonderful breakfast. Everything on the table came from their own garden. And the view from the balcony (where we ate) is amazing.

From the road the house is easy to miss but once you walk through the gate it is like entering a secret garden..an oasis of tranquility. The breakfast is freshly prepared and delicious, the views are amazing and the atmosphere that Sara creates for her guests is like a home away from home. Highly recommend.

Located in Vilarinho da Castanheira, 46 km from Vila Real, Casa Dona Urraca boasts a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the mountain. Rooms are spread between 2 houses. We loved everything. Anna and her family were really gracious, patient hosts. The room was bigger and more comfortable than expected, and the surroundings were beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend this place.
