From sharing English phrases for Quechua with Ernesto to drinking local tea, watching the sunsets, to hiking the local trails, I can not recommend enough.

We have been welcomed by the wonderful host Lucrecia (Richar’s wife) alongside with her daughter. The rooms are really nice and clean and the view is just incredible. For lunch dinner and breakfast Lucrecia cooks delicious and healthy meals that we loved. Spending some time there has been truly relaxing and one to one with nature and local culture! Thank you to the family, highly recommended for a unique experience. Note on how to arrive: Easily grab a local bus “collectivo” from Puno to Capachica and then take a local boat from Chifforn Port to Amantaní. Then either you walk 1+ hours or take a ride with the motorbike that are available at the port waiting (very cool experience)

Amazing healthy food served with love by the lady of the house, good conversations and guidance from the man of the house, a cozy home to renew your batteries. You find here all the facilities you want: private bathroom, hot water, warm blankets, very clean and well maintained room. I highly recommend this place.

Ubytovanie Posada de Oliver sa nachádza v destinácii Llachon a ponúka bezplatné Wi-Fi, záhradu, terasu a bar. This was a perfect stay. Oliver, Sebastiana and their children are a lovely family who you instantly feel at home with. The room we had was spacious, private and had a beautiful view of the lake. Hot water and WiFi worked amazingly for the area and the food provided (for an extra cost, but really good value), was very tasty and varied. There are a few walks to do in the area to keep you busy, and Oliver can also take you out on his boat to some of the local islands and to see the trout farm he runs (again, for an extra fee but for what you get, we thought it was really good value for money. You have to remember you have the boat completely to yourselves and there were no other tourists on the floating island we visited, making the experience very authentic). There's a really nice outdoor seating to enjoy the sun and view. Getting there is also very easy with collectivos going regularly from Puno and Juliaca for next to nothing. The host was super helpful with coordinating our way onto the island and a tour around the Uros islands too. The food was amazing and it was overall a very great value. Even had wifi!

Located 350 metres from the city's main square, Hostal UTASA VILLA REAL inn offers accommodations in Puno. Free Wi-Fi access is available here. The hosts were incredibly helpful, always smiling and made us feel like home. They bought coca leaves for us because we had mountain sickness and gave us an entire bag for free. They also allowed us to leave our bags on the last day until the evening so that we could enjoy our tour. We felt very blessed to be welcomed in the inn and we would definitely come back.
