Isaac and his family are such kind people, they welcomed us on their island and showed us their culture in a beautiful way. The room is super big with amazing view on the lake. We had dinner on the island and it was very tasty, breakfast too! We went fishing and explored the islands, truly an amazing experience. Go visit!

Ilda, his sister, and mum Juana delivered amazing local food, dish after dish of local food. With comfy beds topped with llama blankets, we had an exceptional stay. From sharing English phrases for Quechua with Ernesto to drinking local tea, watching the sunsets, to hiking the local trails, I can not recommend enough.

We have been welcomed by the wonderful host Lucrecia (Richar’s wife) alongside with her daughter. The rooms are really nice and clean and the view is just incredible. For lunch dinner and breakfast Lucrecia cooks delicious and healthy meals that we loved. Spending some time there has been truly relaxing and one to one with nature and local culture! Thank you to the family, highly recommended for a unique experience. Note on how to arrive: Easily grab a local bus “collectivo” from Puno to Capachica and then take a local boat from Chifforn Port to Amantaní. Then either you walk 1+ hours or take a ride with the motorbike that are available at the port waiting (very cool experience)

The family running the hotel were the epitome of hospitality. Their warmth and genuine kindness made me feel like a part of their family, not just a guest. This hotel is not just a place to stay; it's a haven of tranquility, where the beauty of nature meets the warmth of wonderful hosts. Located 350 metres from the city's main square, Hostal UTASA VILLA REAL inn offers accommodations in Puno. Free Wi-Fi access is available here. The hosts were incredibly helpful, always smiling and made us feel like home. They bought coca leaves for us because we had mountain sickness and gave us an entire bag for free. They also allowed us to leave our bags on the last day until the evening so that we could enjoy our tour. We felt very blessed to be welcomed in the inn and we would definitely come back.
