Featuring free WiFi, The Barn at Killin B&B is located in Lake Ohau in the Mackenzie country of the North Otago region, 30km from Twizel. The reason I rate 10 is I'm not allowed to rate any higher. Exceptional. We only stayed for one night but it became the best experience of the whole trip. We were the only guests in that night. Mr. Huge greeted us by the mainroad. We did reserve a dinner but I never expected it was so good! I'm missing the wine and food and the lovely conversation in that night already. The breakfast was great too! Even better than some 5-star hotel in my opinion... Still the best part is Mr. Huge's hospitality. Room was perfect. Facilities were great. Location is perfect! Ohau is indeed a remote place, the house is 200 meters outside the village but just perfect in my opinion. 1 minute walk to the lake. The house does have a touching history. It's in a quiet area and you can see the milky way at night. The room is perfect and if I wasn't in a rush I would have stayed for another night.

I was thinking it's was bit pricy while booking but it was far worth than ever after I reach there -Lake view and sky view.

This place was absolutely amazing, we couldn't believe it! I was slightly worrying because of the comment regarding hard bed, but I don't think annoying had issue or complain. It's was just so big and beautiful, magical place for staying in Tekapo!
