Wonderful local family who open up their home to travellers. Experience an authentic semi-rural environment. Our host (Saro) took us on a tour to the Killing Cave (horrific history), temple & bat cave (highly informative and eye-opening). Saro had very good English. It was very hot weather when we stayed (40 degrees) - there is only an overhead fan. Don’t expect your normal creature comforts (no a/c). Lovely balcony and hammock to rest in. A very welcoming family - we shared a tasty evening meal. Saro was very helpful in organising our tuk tuks.

Comfortable bungalow—large bed, mosquito net, private & super clean bathroom and a quaint front porch for morning coffee! Suvet and his family were super welcoming. We had a great BBQ with them that evening. Perfect if you are looking for an authentic Cambodian homestay. Highly recommend!

Bun and his family are so welcoming and our room was so spacious and clean! The breakfast each morning was amazing and there is also coffee/tea facility in the room and a kitchen facility guests can use. We booked a tuk tuk tour with Bun’s colleague which was brilliant. Our driver was so kind and friendly. Bun even invited us to join him and his friends for a few beers on our last night.

My grown-up son and I spent five unforgettable days with Phirum’s family. The family completely included us in their life and we became friends in this short time. They offer way more than any guesthouse would. The sweet Khmer bananas from their garden, the delicious homemade meals, the walks in the countryside - it all adds up to an unforgettable experience. I can still hear the hum of cicadas in the evening as I write this review. The rooms were as described, nothing flashy, but super clean and comfortable. Aircon in my son’s room was excellent and the fans in the bamboo hut made it nice and cool. Most importantly, in their home you will see how ordinary people live their lives, and the family give a great example of hospitality and resourcefulness. At first I was unsure about how we’d deal with the distance from city centre, but that was absolutely no problem. It’s only 15 mins away by tuktuk, and Phirum helped to negotiate local rate with the driver ($3). Also we spent a lot of time exploring the neighbourhood. A beautiful 30-minute walk takes you to the local Buddhist monastery and a smart restaurant with a lovely view, especially at sunset. I hope that you will come and stay with Phirum to discover real Cambodia for yourself.

The hosts are absolutely lovely !! They can arrange bus commute for you to your next destination which is very convenient. They allowed us to take an extra shower before taking our sleeping bus the night after we stayed at their place. But the best part was booking a day trip with Sarom (host) to visit Battambang and its countryside, learn about the Khmer culture and the genocide, taste some local specialties. Unforgettable moments of discovery !!

The staff at the hotel is amiable and accommodating to all requests. The food in the hotel is also delicious. The room we had was big enough, quiet, and with comfortable beds. The staff at the hotel also arranged exciting trips for us to the bat caves and sightseeing, including visits to local food producers. They also recommended excellent restaurants with delicious food.

At first, I had a room without windows but once I switched to a room with a balcony, it was perfect. Clean and comfortable linen. There's a kettle in the room which is very helpful. The swimming pool was clean and well-maintained. It's a short walk (<5 min) to the cafe zone of the town. The staff is very friendly and respectful. I would 100% stay there again if I was in Battambang.
