The tractor theme and the story behind in (including the cowshed) are a highlight! The breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and nearby coastline from my room were simply awe-inspiring. The breakfast, featuring a delightful array of local and homemade delicacies, was a true feast for the taste buds. (Especially the homeade jam!) The use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients added an extra touch of authenticity to the dining experience, making it a perfect start to the day. Beyond the physical aspects of the guest house, the staff's extensive knowledge of the local area and their genuine passion for sharing Iceland's rich history and culture truly sets Drangar Guest House apart. Their recommendations for nearby attractions, hidden gems, and off-the-beaten-path experiences allowed me and my husband to explore Iceland in a truly authentic way, creating memories that will last a lifetime. A great house for the money. It is clean, there are enough dining places in the living room, a spacious kitchen, many toilets and showers. Very nice hostess, everything is provided for children. I was pleased that there was a protective fence for the stairs and toys for different ages. Opposite the house there is a shop where you can buy everything you need. A very big plus is that there is a washing machine.

Set in the quiet countryside of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, this family-run guest house is 45 minutes’ drive from Stykkishólmur town centre. Larger guesthouse with onsite restaurant. We stayed in a quadruple room with private bathroom. Room was large and clean with electric kettle in room. Included breakfast was good and a nice way to start the day.
