From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the friendly staff. Their genuine hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile made me feel instantly at home. The personal touch and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of my stay, making it a truly memorable one. The guest house itself is a marvel. The traditional Icelandic architecture blends seamlessly with modern amenities, creating a perfect balance between authenticity and comfort. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and immaculately clean, offering a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. The tractor theme and the story behind in (including the cowshed) are a highlight! The breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and nearby coastline from my room were simply awe-inspiring. The breakfast, featuring a delightful array of local and homemade delicacies, was a true feast for the taste buds. (Especially the homeade jam!) The use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients added an extra touch of authenticity to the dining experience, making it a perfect start to the day. Beyond the physical aspects of the guest house, the staff's extensive knowledge of the local area and their genuine passion for sharing Iceland's rich history and culture truly sets Drangar Guest House apart. Their recommendations for nearby attractions, hidden gems, and off-the-beaten-path experiences allowed me and my husband to explore Iceland in a truly authentic way, creating memories that will last a lifetime. We would love to back in the winter!

Guesthouse 43 has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Grundarfjordur. This guest house features a garden. The guest house features family rooms. A great house for the money. It is clean, there are enough dining places in the living room, a spacious kitchen, many toilets and showers. Very nice hostess, everything is provided for children. I was pleased that there was a protective fence for the stairs and toys for different ages. Opposite the house there is a shop where you can buy everything you need. A very big plus is that there is a washing machine.

Got 3 free parking lot inside the premises . Highly recommended to stay

Located 6 km from Stykkishólmur, Helgafell provides a garden and free WiFi. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Fantastic location, clean well designed cabin and Moli the Icelandic sheepdog who came to greet us in the morning and each time we returned.

Set in the quiet countryside of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, this family-run guest house is 45 minutes’ drive from Stykkishólmur town centre. Larger guesthouse with onsite restaurant. We stayed in a quadruple room with private bathroom. Room was large and clean with electric kettle in room. Included breakfast was good and a nice way to start the day.
