The owner, Mr. Teo, is very nice and we got a lot of info from him. We stayed here again for a night after coming back from Danum valley to break our drive back to KK. There are light snacks and free water refill throughout the day. Place is clean, safe and very relaxing. Staff are nice and very approachable - even allowed us to cook our Maggi noodles in their clean kitchen for simple dinner as we had too much to eat at Danum. Highly recommend and will love to stay here again if I ever return to Lahad Datu.

So far this has been the best homestay where we have been staying in Sabah. We booked for one night and ended up staying almost a week. The location is stunning, the rooms are facing a pristine ocean. We swam more than once to the reef right in front of the place. Owner and family are very friendly and they are doing so much to preserve the reef. If you have a chance make them a donation on their found, their planting corals and doing a great job. Breakfast is included and you can have coffee, tea and water all day. They also rent scooter, snorkel and fins and cook lunch and dinner for you if you want to. In this secluded place you'll find all what you need!

Located in Kampung Kundasang, Spring Garden offers accommodations in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Mount Kinabalu, 24 km from Ranau. This place has definitely exceeded my expectation. It's located about 5km from desa dairy farm and sosodikon Hill. Nearby also have alpaca club, rabbit farm, and strawberry farm. It is at foothill of Mt KK, which means you will get a spectacular view of Mt KK. Fresh air, quiet peaceful, everything you need to escape city life. It also surrounded by beautiful garden. The room comes with heated toilet flooring, heated water for shower and heated bed. The room and toilet are cleaner than some 4-5stars hotel in city. Host, Mr Lee is very nice and friendly. Breakfast is at H.Benjamin place - located just before entering the rocky path. The quality of the breakfast is actually not as bad as other reviews, considered that this is at ulu place. Can order other breakfast at H. Benjamin with reasonable price

Located in Damai, Nanga Damai Homestay features a garden and terrace. Among the various facilities of this property are a shared lounge and a bar. Great homestay and awesome hosts Louise and Polycarp. We saw a probiscus monkey in the back yard! Apparently, other monkeys do show up as well. The pool was a nice treat. Our room was comfy and spacious. The view through the bathroom window was amazing. Grounds are lovely. Close for pick up for the river night cruise and our hosts dropped us off and picked us up at the Sarawak Cultural Village. Would totally recommend.
