L' Espiguette beach is 12 minutes away by car and is not to be missed, a real natural gem.

Every detail — from the artwork and garden to the flooring to the soap, beds, towels and wines — evidences thoughtfulness and care as well as great taste. Yet it is relaxed and unpretentious. We had the top floor room, which looked out on ancient church bells and a watchtower of 1000 years ago.and down into the jewel box courtyard. The owners somehow manage to combine the service levels of a five star hotel with the intimacy of the best B&B. Aigues-Mortes itself is a quiet and peaceful yet lively place that does not feel heavy or theatrical like other medieval towns with intense histories. it’s a great base from which to explore the warm waters and unspoiled beaches of the region (by car or e-bike) as well as the sites and festivals of Montpellier, Nîmes, Avignon and Arles. The restaurants are simple and simply delicious and reveal themselves from inside of hidden magic patios overflowing with vividly colored vegetation and scents of jasmine, wood fired ovens and the sea.

Valerie is delightful and made us so welcome and even drove us to Les Remparts so we could have dinner there and picked us up afterwards! We would certainly stay there again. Amazing!
