What a beautiful place to stay to enjoy the Sipi area ! We were welcomed with fresh passion fruit juice and big smiles ! The staff are amazing and very nice ! The food was soooooo good , I’ve been in Uganda for 4 weeks and the food is the best I have had ! It is traditional food with a gourmet twist and huge portions ! I read in some of the reviews that people said they could only eat there because there were no restaurants around and sometimes they didn’t like that because food is 5$ for breakfast and 10$ for lunch ( so could be expensive depending on type of traveller) , but the little town is easily accessible by walking (15/20 mins) or boda boda and we had traditional meal in the town no problem and there is other little vendors selling fruit, chapati , samosas, fruit ! But I honestly recommend to spend the money and eat there the food was insanely good ! Accommodation was very comfortable and even had our own private bathroom and shower in the little hut we stayed in ! Nowel was our guide for the 3 waterfall hike and abseiling and he was amazing ! Nowel also helped us get a taxi to Kampala which was very helpful! Also bring enough cash or be prepared to send Airtel money because we didn’t have enough and they were so nice and let us send later when we got to Kampala ! Great place to stay and very cheap for that area 10/10 recommend !!!

This really is a homestay, where you stay in a traditional room, eat traditional food, and if you want a hot shower, then you must give them half an hour to heat water. It's very basic, very inexpensive, and a fantastic experience if a homestay is what you want. Yovan and his team can arrange any hikes, abseiling, cultural experiences, etc. that you want.

Home of friends was the most welcoming and friendliest establishment of our entire 20 days in Uganda. Everything was perfect and a special mention for Elizabeth, a girl who carries out her work with great professionalism, passion and great kindness. Rely on her for any advice on your tours.
