It is situated near a small town which celebrated a wine festival on the day we arrived. It is in the middle of nature, yet all the locations that we went to in Lisbon were easily accessible thanks to the amazing road network in Portugal and Lisbon.

We arrived at this beautiful, quaint village only to discover that we had messed up our booking date and had NOT booked for that night. Pedro and Marci were amazing and immediately got us settled. This place is astonishing—beautiful architecture and design, loads of little niceties for guests like tea and almond cookies on arrival. We loved the austere warmth of the old beams and fixtures paired with soft lighting, a gabled roof, a skylight, warm blankets, with everything spotlessly clean. The breakfast was wonderful and the communal areas were so comfortable and cozy! What a wonderful place!
