Dona Estela is such a lovely person and unbeatable as a host. We were welcomed with a glass of Port 🍷 produced by her relatives who live in the north of Portugal. Also there were all kinds of products for breakfast waiting for us in the fridge.A kitchen is available, MiniMarket near by. As an extra service Estela offered to wash our clothes (we were hiking on the Fishermen‘s Trail) and by the time we returned from our little walk through Carrapateira our clothes were hanging on the clothes line.

Great location close to Bordeira Beach. Spacious room, comfy beds and immaculately clean. Breakfast was delicious - an amazing buffet with lots of local produce. The host, Marcella was lovely. She helpfully recommended a local snorkelling trip and a pizza night at another nearby guesthouse. Highly recommend everything and will definitely stay again.

We stayed here while walking on the Fisherman's Trail/Historical Trail. The hostess was very helpful and spoke good English, even though she said she didn't (I have native English speaking family members who are not as articulate as she is, just saying!) She sent us excellent information about the village via WhatsApp before we arrived which was very helpful. Everything was clean and well cared for, including a well equipped kitchen. A lovely surprise was the opportunity to do laundry for no extra charge. 😄 We ate at the nearby pizza restaurant and it was good too.

There are 2 floors, most of the rooms are upstairs. There is a lot of space - enough in rooms, bathroom is quite big, kitchen (with a lot of utensils) as well, living room is huge. There is a yard around the house, where you can dry clothes or hang out. It was clean and warm (which for January was important). It is almost in the centre of Carrapateira, but then again - everything is. It is a small town.

We loved pretty much everything about the place. View on the beach (de Bordeira) and ocean. While southern parts (Faro, Lagos) were at 32-37 degrees, in Carrapateira constant breeze from the ocean was of 20-22 deg C, and let you cool down after the day while admiring sun sets on the balcony with your favourite drink; no need for air condition. Cosy house at the end of the world, well, Europe at least :) Quiet place - maybe except the wind and waves, which we enjoy. If you happen to be there: enjoy the beach and drink (53XW+3H Vila do Bispo, Portugal), and lunch on cliff (53FV+Q8, Portugal), beach at the end of Europe (2342+9R Sagres, Portugal), sun set (53WM+89 Vila do Bispo, Portugal)- and that your one-day plan :) We made 10 days, at that definitely not enough.
