I have great feelings about my stay in this apartment! It has a great location in the historic part of town next to the lovely river, having a great view from the window and also from the backyard, having access to the river. In addition, the apartment was extremely clean and well decorated. The host took care of my needs by trying in every way to make my stay easy, from well explained information on how to get to the apartment, to sending me different tips on where to eat and providing me with some food and breakfast, without even including it in the price. I felt at home and it helped me to relax and enjoy my stay.

Beautiful place, very well maintained. Great central location for exploring the Minho region. The pool area is fantastic and on hot summer days it doubles the value of this accommodation. The pool is shared between two guest houses, but it's very spacious so that is not a big problem. The house we stayed in is very spacious and has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It also has a fully functional kitchen with dishwasher and all kinds of appliances. The hosts are a very friendly family. They live in a third house in the same property, but they made sure to stay out of our way, unless needed. They also encouraged us to make our selves at home in the property - for example, they encouraged us to explore the property, pick fruit from the several trees and even brought us a bucket full of oranges. Definitely a place to return to.

We had our own suite which had been recently refurbished to the highest standards,. The beautiful swimming pool was fed by a mountain stream and surrounded by gorgeous gardens and a view to die for. Theresa was a consummate hostess, who went the extra mile, this is a new venture and we were privileged to join the extended family for delicious dinner in this historic house.

There are several stone maze stores the area is so famous for, right next to the house. We loved watching the goats, sheep & cows being taken out each morning to the fields & then back into the sheds at night. The locals were super friendly. Surprisingly well insulated, as in you don't even notice that a river is flowing beneath you. The setting is beautiful, in between vineyards and away from major roads, so you get all the solace of the Minho countryside. Good sized pool. Mr. Carvalhas is a great host and will go out of his way to make sure you have everything you need.espm252Young couple
