The highlight is definitely Chathu, the owner, who went out of his way to help me with anything I needed — laundry, transportation, recommendations, random questions, and even translations for my dietary preferences! The room was big, the bed comfortable, and the lack of an A/C turned out to be less of a problem than I thought. I valued greatly that everything was clean and well maintained. The location is nicely between Midigama and Ahangama — if you're staying for longer, a scooter is recommended for more freedom. The rooftop wasn't ready yet, but I'm sure it will be amazing.

The family were very welcoming and did everything they could to make us feel at home. Offering drinks and making sure we were able to get back in late at night. They also booked us a Tuk Tuk. The garden is beautiful you can tell they have put their heart and soul into it. Clean and powerful shower. Rooms were well furnished including full length mirrors which was nice. Really good fans so felt nice and cool at night. I would definitely come back here.

Really close to Lazies Surf Break and Midigama „Centre“, new facilities, hot water with good water pressure, private balcony, really well working ceiling fan + first floor with balcony (so you get fresh air during the night) and enough space to store luggage for a really fair price

The kindest most accommodating family! This room has everything you need and the kitchen and balcony are great to have. Hiumi and her mother made me food on special days and always kept me in the loop generally.

As a slow traveller I prefer places like Beachbums over hostels. This place exceeded all my expectations. The whole house is really clean. Really liked the vibe of the rooms and the washrooms. Cozy and comfy beds with mosquito nets. The host is extremely sweet and will go above and beyond to accommodate you. I don't think I can find anything like this somewhere else in this price

Quiet and calm place - "That's the place I would write a book or so..."; but just a 3min walk to the beach or some restaurants. Very friendly hosts :)

We initially planned to stay at Ocean’s Edge Villa for three nights and end up spending 20 fantastic days instead. Everything about this place is exceptional. Mahindra and family were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel really at home. The apartment and location was perfect for our days relaxing, surfing and doing yoga in Midigama. The home-cooked food was delicious and made with love and care. Really hope a lot of people can experience the same as us and wish the best to the family!

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. The Family running it is so nice and they really want you too enjoy your stay. You can get also get breakfast and dinner there. They rent out scooters too. Will come again!
