Piper and Terrence are the most splendid hosts who engaged us in cheerful and helpful banter. The house is beautifully decorated with delightfully quirky touches throughout. And the breakfast - simply magnificent.

This is one of the most wonderful rooms I have ever rented! The hosts, Ann Marie and Barry, greeted me warmly upon my arrival and were generally available but not intrusive. The room was simply stunning! It was like having my own little apartment set in a historical property but updated with all the modern conveniences. There was a small fridge and kitchen stocked with utensils and even a little dining table. I appreciate that they had milk waiting for me for my morning coffee. Full breakfast cooked to order was included. Bed was so comfy and ahhhh, that soaker tub!! Plenty of outlets and a very nice desk where I could set up my laptop. Separate sitting area/living room. The best part was the attached private patio that meant I didn't have to get dressed and slog outside for a cigarette. Ten out of ten.

Breakfast was absolutely fabulous, lots of choices to suit all tastes, lovely location with great views over garden and valley, short walk to town. Lounge and garden for hanging out.

This was a wonderful experience! Where to begin? First of the hosts are absolutely the most welcoming, service minded and greatest people we stayed with during our summer vacation around South West England. The rooms are home styled with great feeling and care. Our room was carefully cleaned every day and had beautiful styling and was very silent. The breakfast is one of the best ever, with excellent options to choose from and you could tell they love what they are doing, because everything tasted so good. We strongly recommend this and it's a perfect place to stay in, to explore areas around Ilfracombe and the beautiful areas in north Devon.
