Stepping into this house is like entering a secret world. The building has been beautifully restored by its supremely talented architect owner. A total joy to be there, even on a grim day/night in January. The garden must be fantastic in the summer. Very comfortable beds and a sumptuous bathroom, and so many clever and sympathetic design details. A huge amount of care was taken to welcome me and ensure I had everything I needed. Delicious breakfast. Endlessly patient with my mangled schoolboy French. All in all, a total delight. I'll be back en famille.

Claire was a lovely host and she did a great job in redesigning and decorating the flat. She was very helpful, met us at the door, explained everything, and even hosted our frozen goods in her freezer. It doesn't look like so when you arrive, but the property is smack in the centre of Arras, within 100 yards of the Grand' Place. We slept very soundly, too!
