Amets house, habitació en una casa particular a Bilbao

Amets house in Bilbao provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a tennis court. The property features river and garden views, and is 500 metres from San Mamés Stadium.

It was perfect - the location is great, the room is very large, there is stuff for breakfast in the room, daily cleaning, the bathroom is clean and large. Honestly, we had such a good time! Communication with the owner was also very easy via Whats App and he provided us with the tips of where to go in Bilbao. Also check in could be done automatically (with the code), so it did not matter that we arrived a bit late.

Cosy Room - Guggen º PARKING FREE, habitació en una casa particular a Bilbao

El Cosy Room - Guggen º PARKING FREE es troba al centre de Bilbao, a 600 m del Museu de Belles Arts de Bilbao, a 1,6 km de la catedral de Santiago i a 1,7 km del pont de Calatrava.

The location of the property couldn’t be matched, 5 minutes in one direction for the river and Guggenheim etc, 10/15 minute walk to the old town and countless bakeries, cafe/bars and restaurants on your doorstep. We were met by Bernar, the owner of the property who through Google translate was full of useful information and maps of Bilbao. This was our 2nd visit, last year we stayed in the old town and as it was only for one night didn’t get an opportunity to explore. The accommodation is located in Bernar’s apartment, his living area is to the front of the apartment and we had a bedroom, private bathroom and small living/kitchen area to ourselves. It is spotless, the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom has all you need including hair drier, straighteners, cotton wool pads and box of tissues ( just nice little touches). The living area has coffee/tea making facilities, crockery and cutlery, pods, milk and a some snacks. There was a couple of tins of coke, beer and water in the fridge - very thoughtful. Bernar even left us some pastries from the bakery on Sunday morning which was very kind and they were delicious. He was very accommodating and let us keep our luggage until we left for the airport. Bilbao is a beautiful city, and one of the most pedestrian friendly I’ve ever been to. Walks are plentiful and there are seats everywhere. We walked up to the viewing point where you can look out over the city and mountains in the background - you can also take the cable car if you don’t fancy the walk.

    Les habitacions estaven netes i els llits eren molt còmodes, amb armari, endolls llums a cada llit. La wifi anava bé i l'esmorzar no era espectacular (potser li faltava una mica de salat), però podies esmorzar bé. La ubicació, immillorable

    La propietaria ens ha atès de seguida i amb molt de detall. Teníem cafè i llet pels 4, pa i mermelada, infisionsj. Te tota mena de cafeteres, equipadíssim, ja que arribàvem de nit. Una infusió a la nit i cafè i esmorzar al matí solucionat que ens va anar de maravella. Tenia sabons varis al bany que també ens va anar perfecte no haver de pensar a portar. Televisors a les habitacions i al menjador que per les estones a casa amb els fills va anar de luxe, a sobre Netflix i tot. Comodíssim llits i sofas. Com a casa o millor.

    Aquest Ibis està ben ubicat respecte al centre de Bilbao, molt a prop del Centre cultural L'Alhondiga. Si vas en cotxe hi ha pàrquing. Les habitacions son petites, però confortables i el personal molt amable. Fa uns anys ja hi havíem estat, és una bona opció per visitar Bilbao i els seus voltants.
