They are always making sure that you are comfortable and that your needs are fulfilled. Although most things did have an additional price (for example: breakfast, additional towels, transportation) the prices were okay for the city itself and it was all in one place. The hostal overall is structured to provide cozy social areas to meet people. It looks like a house with different rooms. I also liked the location. Really near the park Sabana which is nice to go for walks and/or runs. There are also a few restaurants near by.

Great place, super comfortable. Quiet. The common garden and kitchens and living room are wonderful. The manager is great and has expert knowledge of the country. The area is safe and quiet and has everything you need right by it within a 5 minute walk. The other guests are nice to meet and talk to, sort of chill relaxed type folks. Top value in San Jose.

This is my 2nd time staying at Oasis. I love it's proximity to the Tracopa Station and Downtown. If you are traveling in Costa Rica and use the best bus (with air conditioning), then there is no reason to stay anywhere else. I cannot than you enough Mari for providing me a wonderful space in which to relax on a rooftop in San Jose. 🤙🏽

This is such as little oasis. While the area isn't the nicest W Hostel has done such an amazing job at creating a beautiful home so once you step in you completely forget about the outside world. It's literally opposite the bus stop which is really convenient. The room was huge! (I think I got lucky and got the biggest one though) with a really comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, fast wifi and lovely host.

Family that runs the business is also living there so it felt more like a homestay than a hostel. Not many travellers while i was there, which i liked. Wifi worked perfectly. Neighborhood is full of fancy restaurants and for those on a budget there is a walmart in 20 min walking distance.

Ernesto was a great host and was super responsive to texts and gave great suggestions for local restaurants. The condo complex was also great. It was so nice to have a pool to relax in. There is also a gym and basketball court available but we didn’t use them. We really liked the apartment and area as a whole. The value for the money is great if you are a solo traveler or a couple on a budget.
