Lahij is itself a village worth visiting, though it is small. To get to the house you have to drive carefully over the cobblestone roadway and up a stony track at the end. Our room was great, with lots of space and interesting furnishings. The bathroom, though shared, was good. We had a great dinner, and with the sparkling conversation of our host (who speaks multiple languages and is a man of great knowledge) and our fellow guests, found that we spent 3 hours at the dinner table, only to reconvene for another session at breakfast. The lady of the house is a really good cook, but could not join in the conversation in English. The value for money is excellent.
