The host Maria was very kind and attentive. She welcomed us in front of the property and showed us our room. The property is in the Old city and very close to the Bazaar and all the restaurants, cafeteria and historic sites in Gjirokaster. We've had an amazing time and I truly recommend Maria and her lovely house.

Alsara Guesthouse is offering accommodation in Gjirokastër. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay.

It was really great stay at the Alsara Guesthouse. We expect it will be great after reading the reviews and seeing pictures of the breakfast and therefore we decided to stay two nights in Gijrokaster instead of one and we also recommend the other guests to stay longer in the town and at the Alsara Guesthouse. The location is great as right from the Guesthouse you enter the main streets of the Bazaar, so you are right in the center. Even though you are in the center there is no noise coming from town during the night, so we had great sleep. The rooms are very nice and clean. In the Alsara Guesthouse there is a great rooftop, which is one of the best things about this hotel. We enjoyed there a glass of wine with a beautiful view on the town and we started there our mornings with breakfast. The breakfasts are HUGE, and there are another reason to stay an extra night at the Alsara Guesthouse. Moreover, the owner is super carring and helpful, he recommend us places to visit, restaurants to eat at and helped organized a taxi with a good price. If you come to Gjirokaster you must stay at the Alsara Guesthouse, we loved it very much!

Wow! This place is definitely worth a visit! Joana is an amazing host that ensures that her guests get the best possible stay at her guest house located high up on the hillside. The rooms are incredibly cozy that fits really well into the town's atmosphere. In the morning she prepares traditional Albanian breakfast, enjoyed with the beautiful view over the mountains and Gjirokaster castle. Highly recommend to stay here!

We ate also dinner in the hotel's restaurant and we ate delicious and traditional albanian food!! The breakfast was full!! Our room (double deluxe) had perfect view and was perfect decorated! 🥰

Adela is the most amazing and helpful host on earth. Lovely family. Excellent breakfast (we could never finish ours and it was all super delicious), very lovely balconies in the room, nice beds, excellent hot showers. Facilities are top class. Location is beautiful with great views of the castle and the village. She helped us a lot with taxi and bus schedules and bookings. Would certainly recommend staying here.
