The hotel is a fairytale castle equipped with all the modern conveniences for comfort and luxury. Special mention for the quality of the food, which was exceptional throughout the duration of our stay. The bedding is exceptional, the in room wifi and entertainment are also flawless.

Spacious, comfortable and well equipped two bedroom apartment situated in an excellent location close to the station, supermarket and restaurants. Fantastic bonus roof terrace shared with one other apartment having a good size swimming pool, several seating areas and great views of the River Douro. Our hostess was incredibly friendly and welcoming and provided us with a lovely breakfast in a basket every morning. Would definitely stay here again.

We felt we were part of a household rather than being an anonymous guest. The location was very good (you have to be prepared to drive because it is in a remote location) with a swimming pool and garden. There is a restaurant on site so you do not need to go out in the evening.

the grounds and seating areas in the gardens were beautiful, and the swimming pool was a bonus. The breakfast, and evening meal in the restaurant were both good, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The house was beautifully furnished, and the newer accommodation blended well with the old.

Excellent location for the centre of Chaves. Staff were very helpful. Swimming pool was good, and a great treat at the end of the day. Staff also allowed us to park motorcycles outside the main entrance for security.
