This is a fantastic place, especially if you have ever wanted to stay in a peaceful, beautiful Portuguese village. The owners have perfectly refurbished several old houses with modern conveniences for a very comfortable stay. The owners were so friendly and helpful. We would stay here again in a heart-beat.

Bruno, the host, was very helpful and friendly, and was very supportive but not intrusive. he was excellent.

Casa da Portela ligger i Caminha, 3 km fra Camarido Strand, 24 km fra Viana do Castelos skibsværfter og 30 km fra Golfe de Ponte de Lima. Der er have og grillfaciliteter. I loved everything about this stay, so much so that I extended my stay and then came back for two more days after exploring another area for a day. Marília is a wonderful host, and she delivers a beautiful breakfast basket every morning, filled with coffee, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and home baked goodies. The space was perfect for me, with a comfortable, firm bed, fabulous shower, super fast WiFi, a day bed that doubles as a couch, and a big table for writing/working. I didn't use the kitchen much, because there were excellent vegetarian options in Caminha (Cantina do Bem and Jeni's Diner). I will definitely be back! Thank you Marília! There a few things you can't tell from the photos: - The ceiling on the ground floor is relatively low. Tall people will have to watch the clearance. - Access to the spacious upstairs bedroom is by ladder rather than by stairs. I found it easy to navigate, but it could be difficult if you have mobility challenges. - The apartment is accessed by two sets of uneven stone steps. Again, it could be challenging if you're not fully mobile.

Chalet Villas Gerês ligger i Geres i en historisk bygning, 700 m fra Geres Thermal Spa. Det er en nyrenoveret villa med udendørs swimmingpool og have. The property really exceeded our expectations. The hosts (wife and husband) are very caring and nice people, the rooms are tidy and clean, your can park your car on site, the pool is a nice opportunity to cool down after a day of hiking and the location is perfect to explore Geres and the sourrounding country park. Our apartment was facing a small orange & lemon tree orchard, from which we picked oranges and lemons for juice every morning. There's also some grapes, I assume if you stay later in the year you may have grapes as well (we stayed in June, too early for grapes). We really enjoyed our stay and can recommend staying at this place!
