Boasting accommodation with a patio, Awesome View Cottage is situated in Great Barrier Island. With garden views, this accommodation features a balcony. Guests can make use of a garden. The cottage is just lovely, spacious, well equipped, immaculately clean, comfortable bed, lots of deck space, designed for full sun daily in a beautiful location. Glynis was a wonderful, helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable host. We enjoyed seeing and speaking with her. This is an Island in the Gulf with no land line electricity, they rely on solar panels, gas and generator and Glynis made sure that there was enough power supplied while we were there. There was sufficient parking area on the road and the whole area, probably the Island is totally safe. Close to restaurants, small grocery outlets and a wonderful Irish Pub. The Island itself is stunningly beautiful with very diverse scenery, many great bush walks and spectacular beaches. The Island is a "Dark Sky Sanctuary" and we were fortunate enough to have one very clear night to be able to see the amazing sight from the deck. We are looking forward to returning for another holiday.

Featuring barbecue facilities, a garden, and a terrace, Whalers Cottage provides accommodation in Whangaparapara with free WiFi and sea views. Whalers' cottage is in a lovely spot with superb views from the terrace and the upstairs bedrooms over the nearby inlet. It is in very good proximity of the start to the Aotea track. Unfortunately, the third and last day of the track was exceptionally wet and we arrived back at the cottage soaking wet. We soon forgot our wet journey once we were back at the cozy and warm cottage and had dried ourselves. It is a great place to relax and hang out with some friends. It is comfortable and fitted out with everything one needs for the stay.
