We have been travelling in Iceland for 3 weeks and have stayed in some outstanding (plus a couple of not quite outstanding) accommodations. The Lake House is by far our favourite. The view from the conservatory and the deck were exceptional. We decided to take a ‘rest day’ here to just enjoy the view, the peace and the hot pot. It was great having access to coffee, herbs and spices left by the owners to use in our meal prep. Access was very easy with the lockbox. The heating was already on for us which was greatly appreciated. Btw I loved the swans in the pond. 😂

We loved the warmth and privacy wood cabin and a adjoined hot tub! Well equipped cabin (you will need to bring the coffee - there is a filter machine). Great views - you can spend a quite and relaxing evening in the outside hot tub. Keys waited for us in a locked safebox at the door - we never met the hosts (no need) - we were free to arrive at our own time schedule

The cottage was incredibly cozy, exceptionally well appointed, clean, and in a beautiful secluded location that was still easily accessible from Bogarnes! Could not recommend this stay more highly. It was the perfect base from which to explore the Snaefellsnes Peninsula.

Hítarneskot Holiday Home is a holiday home with a barbecue, set in Hítarneskot. Guests benefit from terrace. Free private parking is available on site. Free WiFi is offered. Lovely cottage set next to the sea. The house had everything we needed. Warm and comfortable. You can sit by the window and just watch the horses. We visited in winter and it was an excellent place to view the aurora.

Located on the Westfjords, this holiday home features free WiFi, private parking and a patio. This double storey house is set on the historical Tangagata street of Ísafjörður. Stunning views. comfortable beds. So good to have a washing machine and dryer. Only wish the weather had been better so we could sit outside.

Stóra-Vatnshorn is located 500 metres from the historic Eiríksstadir site and 17 km from Búdardalur village. it feels like a remote location, but there are many apartments on the site, islandic original viking house a few hundered meters away, fishing buddies on the lake nearby... Easy access to west and middle west part of iceland

Kría Cottages is set in peaceful Skeljabrekka, 10 km from Borgarnes town centre. It offers free Wi-Fi and views of the Andakílsá River, surrounding mountains and Snæfellsjökull Glacier in the... The view and the environment of the place were wonderful. To overlook the lake, but also have the mountains rising behind us was magical. also, the cottage was very clean and nice, it felt cozy and at home.

Erpsstadir Cottage provides self-service accommodation on a working dairy farm. It offers views over Hvammsfjördur and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub. The cottage is located just by a small hill, the view is amazing. It was a really nice accommodation and it has everything we needed. Thanks the owner Helga for making us feel welcomed.
