The setting was rural and peaceful however there was plenty of activities inside the house. It was very clean.

They even bought us some soda bread and potato cakes which was completely unexpected because my wife mentioned it in chatting, which was an amazing personal touch. Looking out at cows first thing in a morning and last thing at night was lovely. Great, quiet, location within 10 minutes drive of Castlerea with a supermarket and a few nice pubs for food. Two minutes drive to one of the major roads straight into Dublin made travelling very easy.

One small issue arose which was dealt with by the owner immediately. Lots of parking. Stayed in many UK and Eire self catering properties over the years. Definitely in top three.
