We loved the games room and the walks on the grounds. Being able to hire a boat for a trip to a nearby island was an added bonus and Alan was very accommodating with times etc.

Beautiful location, lovely walks. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The local link bus is great for getting into Cavan town, we got it outside the hotel reception although a taxi is not expensive ( €12 for 4 of us ) if you dont want to wait on the bus. The host Sean couldn't be more helpful and was available if we had any issues, he even text after we had checked out to ask how we had enjoyed our stay. The house was spotless and very spacious and had everything you could have want to make your stay perfect. I will certainly be back again soon . Thanks a million for making our stay so enjoyable

We went for the bank holiday weekend to disconnect from a busy city and it was so worth it! The place is lovely, quiet, charming. The house is huge, clean, beds are very comfortable with new mattresses, the house was warm and it had lots of facilities. It´s a lovely place if you want to disconnect from busy cities and connect with nature and have some quiet and peaceful time. The hosts were lovely and always available. We will definitely come back in the future.

Everything was so perfect! Margaret is the best host ever. The hut is stunning, super clean and comfy. Really private. Hot tub is amazing. We enjoy so much, will be back for sure.

From our first contact with Catherine and Bernard via email to meeting them the evening of our arrival, everything was perfect. The best holiday accommodation we have ever had was at Claragh Cottage. The scenery and view from the house is magnificent. It was spotlessly clean and so welcoming with fresh flowers on the table and basic groceries in the house which we could use. We loved the sheep and cattle in the fields and the girls enjoyed a dip in Claragh Lough. The location was perfect for researching our ancestors who were from Co. Cavan and timing was great for the Cavan Calling festival. Thanks for a wonderful stay at Claragh Cottage, Catherine and Bernard!
