We stayed at Pen-Rhos in “Cuckoo’s Nest for four nights in mid January. The scenery surrounding the ‘cabin’ was breathtaking and there was enough space between each cabin for privacy. The space was small, but perfect for two and had every appliance we needed for meals and hot drinks. The bathroom was clean and the shower heated quicker than ours at home. Llandrindod Wells had a few pubs and grocery stores that were close and convenient. Surrounding cities like Newtown, Rhayader, and Builth Wells were great for pub dinners.

A very comfortable and exceptional property in a great location. Every minute detail was catered for. In our case travelling for many weeks with two heavy suitcases we were thrilled on check in to find two suitcase stands so we could each access our things from a reasonable height. Only wish we could have stayed longer this time but will definitely be back to do that and highly recommend 22 Castle Street to anyone wanting to spend time in Hay.

If you are looking for peace and quiet then this is the place, fantastic surroundings and only a short drive to town, decent facilities and beautiful grounds including a lake, very helpful and polite receptionist on site for most of the day, shame we did not stay longer but will return. 😍😍😍😍😚😍😍😍😘😘😘😘

Offering a garden and garden view, Finest Retreats - Ty Nant is located in Aberhafesp, 16 km from Dolforwyn Castle and 36 km from Clun Castle. This holiday home is 46 km from Lake Vyrnwy. The location was perfect for accessing the local countryside. The property was comfortable, cosy and of a very high standard. Beautifully decorated and excellent amenities. Fully functional and well equipped kitchen.

Perfect cozy little cottage with great countryside around (came to cycle). Comfy bed, lovely personal touches with the message board on arrival and biscuits to greet me. Good WiFi, great communication from host.
