Both location and host, Raquel, are fantastic. She greeted us warmly and every interaction made us feel welcome in her rental and the area. We encountered a big storm system but were very cozy in the cottage -- then steps from the boardwalk and necessities when the weather was more favorable! The clean, simple, well-stocked cottage was a great value but Raquel's friendliness and help in customizing recommendations etc made this stay special! We drove and parked on the street in front (November / quieter time) but the train station is very nearby.

Very nice, clean apartment near the Douro in a quiet area, equipped with everything you need. Courteous landlord who gave us plenty of very good tips on sights and restaurants. Uncomplicated check-in and -out. Small supermarket just around the corner. Public transport nearby. We had a wonderful week in Porto. We recommend!!! We will come back. Thank you 👍

The owners were amazing and gave us a really great time. The apartment was beautiful, very clean and just perfect for us (2 adults +2 children) we are very happy that we chose this apartment for our vacation, it was really a highlight! We would definitely book this one again if we go to Porto again! :)

Nuno, the host, was hugely helpful, he welcomed us with a delicious glass of port and some chocolates! He came on our first day and gave us an overview of the area & gave recommendations for attractions, food and places to visit. He even brought a lilo for one of the younger members of our party! We had hired both the villas and they were very well planned out with really nice touches. The lighting was beautiful and the kitchen wasn't lacking anything. The showers were powerful and the beds were firm but comfy. We loved having our little oasis virtually in the middle of the city. There is a fantastic bakery up the road and also a supermarket and an excellent fruit and veg shop too. The fruit trees on site gave us fresh plums every day. The swimming pool was perfect for our needs and I swam every morning early and the temperature was spot on. It was a welcome place to cool off in the sunshine or wind down after exploring the city. We walked into Porto a couple of times, very straightforward and we used Uber on other days when we were just going in for the evening, We were a party of 5 and the cost of the taxi one way was approx 11 euros between us. (Get dropped off on the same side of the river by the iron bridge & walk over, it's much cheaper as otherwise the taxis have to take a long way around another bridge just to get you to the other side). Nuno was on hand whenever we needed him & gave us a beach weather report to save us heading out to the coast if it was a bit wild. We ventured up the River Douro and swam off a couple of beaches along the way, literally Google River Douro beaches and you'll find some. We also went canyoning with Zona Canyoning about 90 minutes south east of Porto - absolutely outstanding, very safety conscious and a great company. Give them a try, they were very reasonably priced and were fantastic. I can't recommend this accommodation more highly - superb place with a wonderful host.

It was cosy and very clean and had a good view of the river from the room. Carla was very welcoming and had amazing recos around porto for food and experiences. Will definitely stay here again!
