Basically every aspect of the accommodation is thoroughly refined. The host, Sérgio, meets you personally, gives some useful tips and how-to's on Madeira. We were welcomed with the local surprising iteration of banana. Sérgio speaks very good English and seems highly motivated to help his guests. Moreover, there are a lot of utilities in the apartment, which make life much more enjoyable. I never tried sticks for walking, but, as Sérgio gave the opportunity, I was shocked how easier the hikes are. The apartment feels absolutely new, the kitchen has all you could wish for, the bathroom is gigantic. 10/10

The house is well furnished and very well equipped: picnic basket, esky, snorkel sets, travel guides etc. etc. The hosts have put in a lot of effort, right down to the details. It is a very nice environment, overlooking the beautiful sea. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Unforgettable stay in Madeira, in the Casa da Madalena do Mar. Immediately after booking, we contacted the owners Maria and Miguel, whose hospitality is truly exceptional. Maria and Miguel provided us with information about Madeira and their home in Madalena do Mar and when we arrived there was a comprehensive welcome pack with wine, milk, bread, eggs from their own chickens, mangoes, bananas, Kakis from their own garden etc. ready for us. Maria and Miguel were very attentive during our stay in their house, whether we had everything and if they could do anything for us. And they were immediately available via WhatsApp during the whole holiday. Including a fish caught by Miguel himself which we couldn't enjoy because of the short time we were there. Next time Miguel :) The kitchen is perfectly equipped as is the rest of the house. You can also use the washing machine. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are large and comfortable. You can get extra towels and bath towels from the wardrobe. Everything is simple, accessible, comfortable to use and very clean. The house also offers its own covered parking space free of charge. The location of the house is ideal for many hiking trails, water activities (Beach, Snorkeling, Diving, Windsurfing), Cycling, and to reach Funchal (approx. 40 minutes) or other smaller towns. Within walking distance there are very good quality restaurants with typical Madeira and continental food. The location of the house is right in front of the sea with a wonderful view over the ocean from the terrace. At night and in the morning you can hear the ocean waves crashing on the beach, which makes it unforgettable! We highly recommend their house! The neighborhood of Villa is very quiet, we really enjoy hearing birds at the evenings. The house is very big, but cosy and balcony was a nice thing to chill after long hike.

The house Is totally Amazing. All the photos are true, but in reality is turned out to be even more beautiful. Fresh flowers, welcome wine and cake. Clean, comfortable. The manager was available all the time and helped us in many questions during our stay. What's more, the house owner sent us a home made cake while we stayed in the house. The house has 2 bathrooms, what is important for a big company. The place is quite and nice. Nearby there are some shops and restaurants. sincerely recommend this place to stay. Madeira is amazing in general and with this house the stay there becomes even better. Thank you
