If you want to see the Douro Valley - this is the place. The view from the balcony is amazing, also from the pool. The way to Pinhao village is the best of the area. I liked the village Celerios - so cute and quiet but with two cafes. There was also a great restaurant nearby (Quinta doPortal) with excellent food and wine. The beds were comfortable and we found the air-conditioning very helpful and the possibility to cool down in the great pool with this extremely hot weather we had. There was also some touristic and practical informtion on the area, some even in Polish! The palce is incredibly quiet and relaxing. There are some nice walking trails around to discover.

By far the most authentic experience of our trip to Portugal. The host was so generous with her time. We enjoyed a nice walk around the vineyard and meals on the balcony with one of the nicest views of the Douro valley. Great Experience!!!

We loved this accommodation. Elizabeth was so helpful, the Pastie de Natas that she left us when we arrived was a lovely touch, also the small bottle of Port from her father and the rice cakes just before we left. These little touches always make you feel special. The pool was lovely to use at the end of a long drive and the scenery from all aspects of the accommodation were incredible, felt very at home there. Would love to return in the future.

This was our favorite place we stayed during a two week vacation in Portugal. The hosts, Luis and Therese, could not have been kinder and more hospitable. The communication (in spite of the language barrier) was prompt and so accommodating of any request we had. The welcome basket was an abundance of wonderful local foods and such a special treat and pleasant surprise. The town is adorable and the views are to die for. We would recommend this home to anyone looking for a special escape to the Duoro Valley slightly off the beaten path.

The house was clean and very comfortable. Two big rooms each with their own private bathroom. The kitchen is big and well equipped. Carla was very friendly en responsive and always helped with our requests and questions. The outside terrace is very large, with barbecue equipment, plenty of seating and a small pool, and of course a beautiful view over the valley. The little town is very charming and a short downhill walk or drive. Pinhão is less than 10 minutes away, which makes it the perfect spot to see and experience the best of the Douro. We will stay here again on our next visit to the Douro Valley.
