We cannot recommend Casa Catita enough, from the expectional hosts, who went above and beyond, especially poor Vitor who waited for 2 hours for us in the airport, due to lost luggage 🙈 to the most beautiful home and a view that will stay in my mind forever. The pool was a great size and we all really enjoyed the games room and our 5 year loved the large playroom with so many toys to keep him entertained. Great memories were made, and we will definitely be back. We highly recommend going down to the river, its breathtaking. Thank you so much Vitor and Luisa for sharing your home with us xxx

Really nice estate. We were looking for something of more historic Portugal and got it! (Of course, there are modern comforts too.) The unexpected delights were a spring next to house and endless supply of local farm eggs that were the best I have had.

Magic ... we should have stayed for a week. Impossible to describe the beauty of the property - orange trees laden with fruit, lemons, a vineyard, dazzling flowers, a magnificent infinity pool, the view, the view, the view. This is a "destination" property - stay for a week, walk, cycle, swim, soak in the views ... We've traveled extensively and can say, without a doubt, this was the best accommodation we've ever stayed at.

A marvelous house on two levels, bedrooms and bathroom at the street level with a great balcony. Below kitchen, dining room, another bedroom (for 1), another small bathroom and a large terrace with place to sit, eat (including barbecue) with a full view on Douro river and surrounding area At a lower level a room with wash machine. Kitchen full equipped, large fridge, wash machine Private area to park a medium size car available Joao, the owner, waited for us also if we arrived very late; he prepared for us a welcome with a bottle of wine and beer in the fridge, figs and a cake and was very helpful with suggestion on what to visit, where to eat (restaurant)...
