Lovely kitchen facilities, great place to cook, but theres a fantastic pub on the doorstep, beautiful views, in a great location for cycling. Supermarkets nearby. My mum liked watching all the wildlife in the back garden (like the herons!). The location is great for day trips to Haarlem, Hoorn, Egmond, Amsterdam and either of the Windmill Museums. Plus, Rob and Kohinoor were great hosts!

The environment is absolutely great. Quiet location at the edge of meadows. In close proximity of the city of Alkmaar (5 miles). Great homebase to go on bicycle trips in summer. The veranda is a nice place to chill and relax in summer with a glass of wine and enjoy the view and tranquility. In winter it is nice to use the fire place in the living room.

The house is big and well equipped. Full size kitchen is included, contains small stove, fridge, dishwasher and cutlery. Large garden is part of the house for the kids to play. Inside the house all facilities are new and in general - all very clean. It looks well maintained. The breakfast is generous and includes more than enough food portions and variety of ingredients. The car parking is super close - very comfortable. The owner is very nice with grate hospitality knowledge, he was very helpful and welcoming. We stayed for 7 days, 4 persons for a family vacation.
