This perfectly preserved traditional japanese house proved to be the perfect housing for our stay exploring Teshima and Naoshima. Alan, the host, proved to be invaluable in his recommendations about how to best visit the islands. He also gave us tasty addresses for lunch and dinner and even drove us there at night. We think the villa is the perfect setting for a family, it provided us for a welcome respite during our very busy 2 weeks in Japan. We rented bikes and thanks to them, we were able to crisscross Teshima although your youngest son is only 10. Alan not only welcomed us right at the ferry arrival but was always in touch with us before and during the stay. 10/10 ! (The sister villa "Queen" looks very nice too)

Teshima is an enchanted place. Haru is a perfect match. The villa is so cool, all japaneese with tatami mats and everything. The host had even turned the pretty basic bathroom into a spa experience. The fridge was filled with food grown on the island, even the coffee and the salt originated from Teshima. I could go on forever...

The hosts are extremely kind and very accommodating. They picked us up from the ferry upon our arrival in Naoshima and even helped drive us to certain places during our stay. They were very hospitable and responsive whenever we had a question. The house is beautiful, clean, very spacious, and in a great location.

Lovely little house set above the road with a level lawn and view across the Seto Inland Sea. Everything inside was new. The beds super comfy. Great place to stay when exploring the island by car.
