The location is stunning and very peaceful. Very old cottage that evokes imagination of what it must have been like hundreds of years ago. Very convenient to both Newgrange and the Battle of the Boyne site.

Connells Barn is everything it looks - a smart conversion from a historic building into a most pleasant base for exploring the Boyne Valley and beyond. The host is wonderful and she has thought of everything - the place comes with a manual, and you are well advised to run trough it upon your arrival - it is very informative. The other pleasantries you can find are just too numerous to count, from a welcome package ont the table, to a filing cabinet filled with assorted destinations and activities. Karla (the host) definitely sets the bar high for other hosts. The location is easy to find. It is near too many interesting sites for the time we had, so a lot is left unexplored, but it just gives us a reason to return.

10/10 Could not recommend this place more! 😄 Fantastic location, this cottage is just off the main street in duleek, and right beside TRIBE restaurant (best pizza we have ever had). Karla's cottage was spotless, you could have had your dinner off the floor. Spacious for our group of 8 and beds were incredibly comfy! If your looking for a weekend away, this is the perfect choice!

I loved the whole house it was so spacious and plenty of space for the little kids to get about and not on top of each other. It was bigger than i thought it would. I loved the rooms they all looked decent sizes and no complaints about them. I had the master room that was so big and lovely. I loved the views we had from the house and how you can walk to the farm you have. The kids loved it. The kitchen was perfect you had all the utensils we would ever need, which was great.
