A beautiful country base to explore sligo, with beautiful views of the mountains. This lovely house was wonderfully located near town and shops and yet quiet and private, an ideal combination. The host made us feel very welcome and was really helpful, with excellent communication throughout the whole process. We were even provided with multiple keys, a bonus that many other locations overlook. The place was spotlessly clean with fantastic kitchen facilities and an absolutely beautiful, private garden in which to relax. The private off-street parking was a drive-in into which we could easily fit two cars and the rooms were bright, comfortable and spacious with very comfortable beds. For the money, this home was outstanding and I couldn't recommend it more highly!

The Gardener's Cottage sits on a gorgeous 1000-acre estate. It seems that the owners may still be in the renovation stage. The kitchen, bedrooms, and one large bathroom looked brand new. The small upstairs bathroom needs an upgrade. That being said, it was spacious and comfortable for our family group of 5 adults and two grandsons (10 and 12). The setting was more isolated than we had imagined. You had to drive to go to town. But the grounds were conducive to long walks, beautiful scenery, vast open spaces for the grandsons to play soccer when we needed them to expend some of their energy. We would absolutely stay there again. Roderick, the owner of the property, was welcoming and gracious, even when our grandson locked himself in the bathroom and we had to call Roderick for help one evening.
