The property is amazing! Comfortable bedrooms, the mountain view and swimming pool - unforgettable. The host, Natalia, is very kind, polite, hospitable, helpful. Once we arrived into property, in the fridge we found bottle of wine and cold water, which was very nice to recive that compliment. She advised us visit some bitches (we chose Falasarna - and it was so so beautiful)

This was our first time visiting Crete and Hilltop villa certainly made a good impression. The host Giannis contacted us before we arrived to make sure the house was stocked up with everything we needed for the first night and some extras too. The house is much bigger than it appears on the photos and the view is just beautiful, we were able to watch the sunset each evening whilst enjoying a glass of wine in the garden. We stayed at Hilltop Villa with our daughter, her husband and our grandchildren and we had plenty of room; there is even a small kitchen upstairs which me and my wife used to store our foods separately. The grounds are spacious and there were plenty of games of hide and seek played amongst the greenery. The house is very clean and has absolutely everything you could need, there was a nespresso machine in the kitchen, the host provided all the little details like dishwasher tablets, baby wipes, cotton pads, face cloths, shower gel and shampoo. The house really felt like a home away from home. On top of all of this, the real asset of Hilltop villa are the hosts; Artemis and Giannis. They are the perfect team; Giannis, the son, is excellent at communicating and providing help. He was always at the end of the phone or a whatsapp message away if needed. Artemis, the mother of Giannis is an exceptional host. She really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She absolutely made our stay in Crete so fantastic. She showed us the vegetable garden and we were told to help ourselves to all the produce; tomatoes, peppers, onions, courgettes, lemons, salad leaves, herbs, grapes. She would also bring us fruit and produce from the surrounding farmland and drop it off at the door. She cooked traditional Greek food for us on several occasions; including boureki, mousaka and kalitsounia pies, homemade jams, homemade wine and even some raki.

We had an amazing stay in George’s villa. He literally saved our trip. We arrived late at night and we had a car appointment we weren’t able to take. We had to go to the villa with taxi and we were very worried what to do without a car. First George greeted us with traditional Greek dinner at 11 PM, a shot of raki and a big smile. He helped us a lot and on the next morning he found us a car in half price, since everything was booked in the sites! This saved our trip! The house itself was amazing, a few outdoor lounges with a barbecue, sparkling clean, very comfortable beds, ACs in every area, fridge with a few beers, water, olives.. Loutraki village center (100 meters) have tavernas and we recommend Niko’s one for sure! You have to go and meet him! Gerani village is 10 mins away with the car, amazing Balos beach is in this area, also Chania is near where you can go for dinner and a drink. Out of all we became friends with the people from the village, George and Nikos from the taverna. We would really come back here and highly recommend this place, you will find not only a perfect facilities, but amazing people to meet and get to know the Greek culture!
