The best choice for our holiday in Crete was this lovely traditional house. Everything was perfect since our arriving. We were so hungry and dinner was ready for us, plus in the fridge we could find fruits, eggs, vegetables, drinks. So nice and welcoming ❤ Lovely traditional details of the house, very confortable bed, stunning view from the terrace,, access to the garden for fresh vegetables, all these made our stay perfect. Taverna Maria was on top of it and together with house will be something hard to forget. Thank you for the experience! 🤗

The location was brilliant . . at the top of a hill in a nice small village. needs a good driver. Gorgeous pool and many exterior spaces.

The villa is very big and can easily accomodate 4 couples. Every room is comfortable and the spaces are airy

It’s an exceptional place with great view and lovely hosts. There were 9 of us and there was plenty of space for everyone. The pool is a great extra, so is the gas bbq. The kitchen is fully equiped with everything you might need. Maria, the lady in charge, is super helpful. However, bear in mind, there are two rooms with own bathrooms, two rooms share a bathroom on one of the floors, and there is a big open space under the ceiling - with beds for 3-4 people, with one bathroom and no noise isolation from the kitchen and the living room. All in all, the 5 stars are well deserved, Cretan View Villa is a real gem.

This place is a dream. The home is modern, superbly decorated, has every amenity you can think and ask for. Its a 200 yr old stone home and the history of the home is beautiful as well. I have never seen such a well stocked kitchen. The town its in is adorable and the people are so so nice, especially the store Mandali. The views from the home are killer too and if you visit in the summer months you wont leave the pool. The 3 bedrooms are spacious, have amazing views and extra beddings which makes the stay so much more comfortable. The attention to the detail and the furniture in the home is incredible. The best part about staying at Acrothea is Chronis - the owner. I have never met a nicer and gracious host than Chronis. Firstly he left bottles of wine and their home grown olive oil bottles. I mean wow. He even left us fruits and cookies when we checked in. Their restaurant down the hill has incredible food and absolute a must visit during your stay. We went there twice and loved the food and the hospitality. I can see the passion and kindness in the whole family. I literally Whatsapp'ed Chronis 5 times a day and he would always always respond to my queries and never seemed bothered. He even setup us up with a doctor a COVID test , as we needed it to fly back to the US. This guy/host truly makes your stay enjoyable and shows your true Greece hospitality. My family and especially my kids were so sad to leave. The location of the home does need a car but we didnt mind the driving. Crete is huge and you have to drive everywhere but the Kournas lake is like 10 mins away, the beach is 7 mins down the hill, Rethynmom is 20 mins away and Chania is 45 mins. This little town of Kournas sits in the middle from Chania and Herakalion. Thank you Chronis for serving your guests with the biggest smile and warmth. I will never forget this experience and you and the home are the only reason and we revisit Crete.
