Our stay at the mountain villa was truly fantastic, providing us with a serene and peaceful escape in a charming village setting. The villa itself was exceptionally cozy, clean, and well-equipped, making it feel like a true home away from home. The stunning mountain views and breathtaking sunrises created a picturesque and unforgettable backdrop to our stay. The villa is located just a short 5-7 minute drive away from the village with good taverns and shops. Additionally, the nearest beach is easily accessible, being about 15-20 minutes away by car. The host was extremely friendly and attentive, adding a personal touch to our stay and making it even more special. Offered us valuable advice and useful information about local attractions, activities, and the best places to visit. This was undoubtedly the best place we've stayed at in Crete. We highly recommend this villa for a relaxing mountain getaway with exceptional hospitality.

We are so happy to have booked this house for the last week of our 3-week holiday in Crete! It is an excellently equipped house in a very tiny village in the quiet mountains of the western part of Crete. When we were there, in high-season, it was not unusual to meet nobody else on our daily 25 minute drive to the sea (Paleochora). This might give an idea of the quiet environment that we found really relaxing after our first 2 weeks in a crowded touristy area. The house itself has a fully equipped kitchen, a nice bathroom with comfortable shower and good Wi-fi. There is a spacious outside area with lots of cool shadowy places, a huge barbecue and plenty of wood (olive tree!) and 2 hammocks. The house is surrounded by an olive tree plantation. There is a path that leads through the trees that goes all the way down the mountain. Except for the cicadas, you don’t hear a sound and the stars in the night are bright enough to see the Milky Way. Really special was the warmest welcome we have ever experienced on our holidays. The family lives in Chania city but they love their house and they seem to enjoy to share their love with visitors. We met the grandfather who is (justly) proud of the house he build, the grandmother with all kinds of products from her garden, the owner Maria and her 2 lovely sons on the day we arrived and we had a bbq far into the night (selfmade wine!). It was such a nice evening! We really like the Greek people, they are so friendly and this family is the best example you could meet! In short: if you like crowds you should avoid this place but for everybody else: if you have the chance book this place and you won’t regret it! Thank you Maria and family for a wonderful week.

This is the perfect place if you are looking for a tranquil and quiet place in the midst of nature. The small village Temenia is nearby and one can look at it from the terrace of the house. The Villa provides everything you need and it is absolute value for money.

The hosts are both welcoming and considerate of all your needs. We arrived late and Katerina provided supplies for supper and breakfast, as well as fruit bowl and extra treats such as her home made Walnut Liquer. The villa itself is wonderful - one of the best views I have seen! It is very isolated, just you, some passing goats and the stars at night, there are no neighbours, and no one to disturb you - yet we felt very safe and secure at the property. The pool is delightful on a hot afternoon, and the seating arranged around the villa ensures plenty of shade and sun, whichever your preference. Beds are comfy and plenty of space in the villa - although there was just the two of us. It is away from main towns and amenities (for us that was the appeal), but there is an outstanding restaurant in Temenia and a great little local traditional store about 10 min drive away. If you want a break away from it all and truly relax in the most wonderful of settings, the BMVV is perfect! We will be back!

It was a perfect place for a family of five. The view from the terrace is magnificent, as is the night sky due to low ambient light. The house is very well equipped and very well decorated. Konstantinos is an outstanding host. Sarakina is a great place, very glad for our choice. Hope next year to visit again.
