The property is located 10 minutes walk from the town center and location is quiet. The property was clean and tidy on arrival and check in procedure was simple so no issues there. There is plenty of beds and space so if your a bigger family this would suit you. The landlord is nice and genuine person, any questions or queries I had, he was quick to answer and went the extra mile for me and my partner. Will be staying here again in the future. Highly recommended 5☆

The property was perfect . The location is fantastic for access to the area as it’s central to Houghton-le-Spring. The property was so peaceful and relaxing and has everything you need for a comfortable stay . The property is tastefully decorated and furnished and had a lovely homely feel. The host was fantastic and did everything she could to help make my stay run smoothly. Great communication ! I will definitely be booking the property again on my next visit to see family . It’s perfect.

This property is absolutely beautiful and in a superb location. Internal layout brilliant for family and outside is stunning. The property owner did everything in his power to ensure we had a comfortable stay. I advise a walk up to penshaw ...fabulous views.

Great location just under Penshaw Monument, in the middle of the countryside. Very good facilities in the property and very well laid out. Owner even set up a Xmas tree and lights for our stay - a lovely touch. We also made use of the cafe next door - they make an excellent cooked breakfast in the morning.

The house was clean and warm. Loved the little touches like spare toothbrushes plenty of loo paper, makings for a few cuppas and washing/dishwash tablets. Kitchen crockery well stocked, good range of pans. Dishwasher and washing machine simple to operate and worked well. The owners were easy to contact via booking.com or whatsapp and responded quickly even on a bank holiday.

The property was quiet on a relatively busy street with good access to main roads (A1 etc.). The facilities were of a normal home, perhaps needs a chopping board for the kitchen (I may not have seen it), but otherwise great. The host was very amenable and called if and when we had small issues, and made a point of contacting us the following day to check things were good.
